Go vote for “Harold vs. the Simian Seven” at Threadless. I love shirts that tell a story, and this design is an excellent example. The monkeys are illustrated nicely, each one is an individual. You can feel the rage washing over Harold, as countless moments of ridicule bubble to the surface.
An alternative title for this one was going to be “Mr. Manager’s Last Day.” This leads me to believe it was a silent nod to Arrested Development, but that might be wishful thinking. The official description from designer Ian Leino follows.
“Harold had endured many things in his job as a walking banana advert: teenagers jeering, children pointing and laughing, dogs using his leg as a.. well, you get the idea. He had just made up his mind to tell his dad once and for all where to stick the banana suit, when suddenly he heard a strange chittering sound and the ring of metal on metal….”
It’s eligible for 5 more days, so if you want to see this on your torso you better go and vote.
This is a very enjoyable blog and I like the content and writing thank you very much.
