We Were Tomatoes!

We Were Tomatoes Preview

Anthropomorphic food is a common theme among shirt designers. “We Were Tomatoes,” walmazan’s most recent printed work at Threadless, is a great example. The design depicts a ketchup bottle chasing tomatoes with clearly bad intentions. It retains walmazan’s illustrative style, and like his previous design, “The Tragic Story Of Romeouse & Julirat,” you feel for the characters while laughing at their situation.

This is a precursor to an article that I’m going to write about anthropomorphic food related designs. It seems like every day I encounter more, and most are very well done. I think I may have a soft spot in my heart for them. There is just something about imagining the many situations that food could find themselves that I find hilarious.
