This is what future archaeologists might discover if gaming addiction continues. It’s “Homo Geekus” a new species and a new shirt from laFraise. It’s defining characteristics are a more hunched back, devolved posture, and adversity towards light.
It’s been awhile since I’ve visited Snorg Tees, and I’m glad to see they’re still pumping out hilarious, high quality shirts. Their latest design, “Greyskull Power Company,” continues that tradition. If the reference is over your head, that’s probably because you never watched He-Man as a child.
“Choose Your Own Adventure” is a new shirt design available at Threadless. Its designer’s name is Edgar R. McHerly. He’s got a very unique artistic style, which I could see appearing in children’s books. That makes the topic of the shirt particularly fitting which is, of course, the Choose Your Own Adventure series of gamebooks.
Zazzle is celebrating Earth Day by offering to plant a tree for every shirt purchased. It can be any shirt throughout their entire site, so if there has been one that you’ve been looking at, now is the time to buy. They are teaming up with AmericanForests by donating a dollar for every shirt purchased, which directly relates to one tree planted.
Brand of the Free is having a 35% off sale right now. They are doing this to celebrate their participation in the Go Green American Expo and, of course, Earth Day. All you need to do is put the coupon code GOGREEN35 in when you checkout.
A drunken muse by Jeremy Kalgreen is what led to the creation of Sir Critter. The concept is simple; you take different critters, add a top hat and monocle, and slap it on a shirt. The result is extremely amusing.
It’s possible that this is just a coincidence, but I think one of the latest shirts from SnorgTees is a reference to the hilarious HBO television show “Flight of the Conchords.” The shirt’s name is “I Made You a Camera Phone” and the associated reference is from the episode “Mugged.” I’ve included a video from that episode in case there are some readers who have never heard or seen this excellent show.
If you haven’t seen the new movie Adventureland then this shirt might not make any sense. It’s available at NerdyShirts right now and is on presale for $14.95. In addition to that, NerdyShirts is also running a pre-summer sale. That means that all of their shirts are $14.95 for this week only.
“Baron VonFunburger’s® Haunted Castle Cavalcade” is the latest design from spacesick. He is currently a Threadless alumni, and I’m sure this will become a winner as well.
Spreadshirt is currently running a contest in conjunction with Aviary. If you haven’t heard of them before, Aviary is a suite of online applications that focus on image editing and manipulation. They have just recently released Raven, their vector editor, which is probably one of the main reasons they are teaming up with Spreadshirt on this contest. Their applications are great (and free!), and they have a ton more in the works.
