A drunken muse by Jeremy Kalgreen is what led to the creation of Sir Critter. The concept is simple; you take different critters, add a top hat and monocle, and slap it on a shirt. The result is extremely amusing.
Spreadshirt is currently running a contest in conjunction with Aviary. If you haven’t heard of them before, Aviary is a suite of online applications that focus on image editing and manipulation. They have just recently released Raven, their vector editor, which is probably one of the main reasons they are teaming up with Spreadshirt on this contest. Their applications are great (and free!), and they have a ton more in the works.
In my previous post 5 Shirt Related Ways To Make Money Online, I mention using shirt design contests as a way to make some extra cash. When I first decided to write this article I was going to write about any contest sites that I could find. I was surprised to discover that there were more of these sites than I could possibly cover in one article. Instead of covering as many as I could, I decided to focus on just ten of the best.
Go vote for “Harold vs. the Simian Seven” at Threadless. I love shirts that tell a story, and this design is an excellent example. The monkeys are illustrated nicely, each one is an individual. You can feel the rage washing over Harold, as countless moments of ridicule bubble to the surface.
This is a much different take on yesterday’s “green” themed post! Spreadshirt is running a St. Patrick’s Day Sale until March 12th. Customers will receive 17% off of any order that is over 25 dollars. As always, they have a large selection of themed graphics if you’d like to make a custom design. If you don’t want to design your own you can take your pick from their St. Patrick’s Day marketplace.
I’ve just been informed that Spreadshirt has announced a Spreadshirt Bootcamp. The Bootcamp will be done as a webinar and will focus on teaching new users the Spreadshirt shop interface. You will be able to interact live with the instructor while you and others are taught specifics. I have been asked several times on how to do things in Spreadshirt’s interface, so this will be a great help to people looking to become comfortable as a Spreadshirt partner.
Spreadshirt is running a special Valentine’s Day sale. The sale runs until February 11th. It is for 14 percent off, which can only be applied to orders of 25 dollars or more. Spreadshirt typically has great seasonal designs, but this special can also be used for anything in their entire marketplace.
